Create RBS Module

RBS Modules are objects in eDirectory™ that contain RBS Tasks and RBS Book objects. When Role-Based Services has been configured in an eDirectory tree, the RBS Module must be installed after the NPM so that new tasks associated with the plug-in become available to use.

  1. Type the new RBS Module Name and Context (collection) in the text boxes, and click OK.
    • The container object cannot contain the selected object class: RBS Module
    • You cannot add an object at the same level as a preexisting object of the same name but not necessarily the same class.
  2. If successful, a comfirmation message appears:

"The new rbs module was created: module.collection.<organization unit>.tree."

  3. Click OK, Repeat Task, or Modify.

The Repeat Task button calls the Create RBS Module screen you saw in Step 1.

The Modify button calls the Modify Object screen > General tab, and displays Attributes you can add to or delete from the new module.

    • Valued Attributes have been populated with data.
    • Unvalued Attributes have no data until you select them and click the Add arrow, then add the description, after which they move to Value Attributes.
