Advanced Selection Filter Criterion
Use this screen to further refine your selection filter criterion. The filter you create will then be used for the
search you are performing.
The filter is made by defining a series of logic groups. Logic Group 1 displays
by default when you begin creating your filter.
To set up the filter:
- Make sure you are searching for the desired directory object. The directory object class is displayed at the
top of the search screen. To change the directory object class, return to the Novell® iManager screen and select
a different object class.
- From the first drop down list, select the desired object attribute from the drop-down list.
- From the second drop down list, select the desired operator (is equal, is not equal, is before, is after, is present,
is not present).
- In the field, enter the desired search information.
- To add a Boolean operator (and, or) to the Logic Group, click the plus (+) button immediately to the right of the
search information field. You can then repeat the steps to add additional criterion to the search.
- To remove an item from the search criteria, click the minus (-) sign to the left of the attribute drop-down list.
- To add an additional logic group, click the plus (+) button on the far
right side of the window. This will add an additional logic group as well
as another Boolean operator (and, or) to use with the previously created
logic groups.
- To remove a logic group, click the minus (-) sign to the left of the attribute drop-down list.
- When finished, click OK. You will return to the previous iManager screen and you can perform your search.
